Ms. Kamisha Dixon has been selected as the new Principal at Ripley High School. Ms. Dixon is a graduate of Ripley High School and spent 10 years of her career as a teacher and cheer coach at Ripley Middle School. Ms. Dixon has served as an Assistant Principal at Ripley High School since 2021. In this capacity, Ms. Dixon has supervised campus operations and student discipline, led instructional programming to ensure high standards of instruction and student achievement, expanded RHS' social media and communication channels, and fostered collegiality among staff. Ms. Dixon's knowledge of Ripley High School's operations, along with her solid understanding of effective instructional practices, will serve Ripley High School well.
Ms. Dixon holds a Bachelor's of Science degree in Health and Human Performance from The University of Memphis, a Masters degree in Education from the University of Phoenix, and an Education Specialist degree from Lipscomb University. Ms. Dixon is a product of the district’s leadership development partnership with Lipscomb University, a grant program aimed at growing local, aspiring administrators into qualified and viable administrative candidates. Ms. Dixon is currently pursuing her Doctoral degree in Learning Organizations and Strategic Change from Lipscomb University.
