Congratulations to this Chartavion B. Jakayla B., Kenydi K., and Wheatley G. on being selected to attend the ALStar African American Youth Leadership Conference at UT Martin! Students enjoyed listening to keynote speaker, Demetrius Robinson and Dr. Youlanda Jones. Students also enjoyed the UTM alumni panel, Call Me Mister presentation, and Greek life panel. CJ, Jakayla, Kenydi, and Wheatley enjoyed being able to network and develop their leadership skills. One of the key takeaways of their event was from a quote by Alex Beene, “Challenges don’t last, but the people who accept those challenges do.”
