Forty-seven Lauderdale County seniors received Work Ethic certificates for meeting qualifying criteria approved by a collaborative of West Tennessee businesses, industries and school districts. The certificate will give students an opportunity to interview for posted positions with participating businesses and industries. Local supporters are Marvin Windows and Doors and SRG Global. In addition, qualifying students at each high school could apply for a Work Ethic scholarship of $500.00. Recipients of the scholarships had winning essays on the importance of a strong work ethic in their chosen field.
