Dear Parents and Guardians,
As we work in partnership with you to support students, it is incredibly important that children are present at school each day. Please note that the following changes to our attendance procedures for unexcused, early check-outs and late check-ins will go into effect Monday, August 22nd. Valid excuses are still defined the same and are outlined in school board policy.
Students who are more than thirty (30) minutes late to school will receive an Unexcused Late Check-in. (All existing tardy procedures will still be enforced as designated by school procedures.)
Students who leave earlier than the final dismissal time will receive an Unexcused Early Check-out.
Students who leave and return to school during the day without a valid excuse will receive an unexcused Partial Day Check-out.
LCS students who receive four (4) Unexcused Late Check-ins or check-outs will result in one (1) unexcused absence. These unexcused absences will be included in the Truancy Referral process.
