Mrs. Jill Messer and Mrs. Brandis Fullerton’s classes excelled this week in reasoning about ten as a unit to add. We counted and recorded a collection of various objects. We are loving our new math curriculum, Eureka Squared.

Mrs Shawna’s kindergarten celebrated Thanksgiving by learning about the pilgrims, Native Americans, and the first Thanksgiving!


Mrs. Leah’s class is currently reading Moonshot, an account of the Apollo 11 Mission. Her class created Tableaus to act out the different parts of the Apollo 11 Mission from the astronaut’s point of view.

After reading the novel Love That Dog by Sharon Creech, students in Mrs. Billie Kissell’s class wrote letters to Ms. Creech to tell her how much they loved the book. To their surprise, she wrote back to the students and included several goodies for their classroom.

The TWRA Wildlife trailer visited HES yesterday. Students saw examples animal species including an Eastern Wild Turkey, a Northern River Otter, and many more.
