Mr. Golden Howard has been selected as the new Principal of Ripley Middle School. Mr. Howard served in the United States Army prior to his career in education. He began his educational career as a Teacher at Ripley Middle School for six years in the subject area of Math. In 2017, Mr. Howard was named Assistant Principal of the Alternative Learning Academy. Mr. Howard joined the administrative team as an Assistant Principal at Ripley High School in 2020 and has served in that capacity since.
Mr. Howard received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from University of Tennessee-Martin, his Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Trevecca Nazarene University, and his Educational Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership from Lipscomb University. Mr. Howard is a product of the district’s leadership development partnership with Lipscomb University, a grant program aimed at growing local, aspiring administrators into qualified and viable administrative candidates.
Mr. Howard brings not only strong education experience and preparation, but also a servant leadership mentality. Mr. Howard’s character and integrity are a great example for our students in Lauderdale County.
