Ripley High School is proud to announce that Coach Khayyan Norfork has been hired as the head Boys Basketball coach. Coach Norfork has been the head Girls Basketball coach since 2021 and the Head Baseball coach since 2020. Coach Norfork coached alongside Coach Lonnie Starks for 10 years during his off seasons from Minor League baseball with the Washington Nationals. He is a graduate of Jackson State Community College and the University of Tennessee at Knoxville with a Bachelor’s in Sports Management.
Coach Norfork is excited about being the head boys basketball coach, and he is passionate about being a positive influence to the youth. Coach Norfork shared that being the head basketball coach has been one of his dream jobs, and he is ready to get to work.
Coach Norfork wants his team to understand that they have to win off the court before they can win on the court.
Coach shared that the team is excited, and they are eager to learn and improve themselves and teammates around them every day.
Coach Norfork is married to Taylor and they are the proud parents of three! Coach Norfork is also a Ripley High School alumnus! #GoTigers!
