Ms. Kamisha Dixon has been selected as one of the Assistant Principals of Ripley High School. Ms. Dixon is a product of the Lauderdale County School System. She is a graduate of Ripley High School and has devoted her entire professional career to the students of Lauderdale County. Ms. Dixon holds a Bachelor of Science in Health and Human Performance from the University of Memphis and a Master’s degree in Education from University of Phoenix. In May of 2020, she graduated with her Education Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Lipscomb University.
For the past 9 years, She has served in many capacities at Ripley Middle School: 7th grade ELA teacher, Social Studies teacher, grade-level teacher-leader, district content level teacher leader, Cheer coach, and fundraiser chair. During her tenure at Ripley Middle School, Ms.
Dixon has supported teachers in the implementation of high quality instructional materials, led professional development activities, reinforced classroom and school-wide positive behavior initiatives, and established positive relationships with all stakeholders. Ms. Dixon has a passion for education and is consistently engaged in learning more to enhance herself and to strengthen others around her.
