Ripley High School Appoints Khayyan Norfork as New Head Varsity Girls

Ripley High School Athletic Department is excited to announce the appointment of Coach Khayyan Norfork as the new head varsity girl’s basketball coach. Coach Norfork is a graduate of Ripley High School where he was a member of the varsity baseball and basketball teams. He continued his education at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, where he was a starter on the volunteer baseball team. Coach Norfork was drafted by the Washington Nationals organization where he played for 8 years. Coach Norfork always came home in the fall and winter to continue coaching in basketball. He has been an assistant on the boy’s team for 10 years and the girl’s for 7 years. Coach Norfork has been employed with Ripley High School for the last three years served as assistant basketball for both teams and as head baseball coach. Coach Norfork took his baseball team to Murfreesboro this past spring where they finished in the top 6 in the State of Tennessee. Coach Norfork is eager to get started with the basketball program, he has very high hopes set forth by instilling his intense game style on top of practicing fundamentals and his team play! Coach Norfork’s passion and enthusiasm for the game is contagious. Our student-athletes are fortunate and will benefit from him being head coach.
