The ACE (Academic and Career Excellence) classes for 9th graders are using this week to explore team building skills. Our local industries and post-secondary schools have asked that students learn to work as a team to problem solve. With the help of the ROTC advanced cadets, these 9th graders had to work together to accomplish a common goal. They learned quickly to choose one leader to reduce confusion, to communicate more effectively so that the correct action was taken, and to work as one to be successful. These physical activities were just one of the week’s hands on lessons in how team work and problem solving are essential in school as well as their future careers.
ACE Students learn practical team building skills.
