In today’s safety lab Ms. Lewis’ student had to practice skills they have been studying and testing over. Students had to carefully follow all instructions to maintain safety.

Family/Teacher Conference will be held district wide Thursday, February 7th, from 4-7 pm and next Tuesday, February 12th 4-7pm. Progress Reports will be handed out at this time.
State Rep. Chris Hurt visited Ripley High School and help present a grant for $75,000 to install welding stations at RHS to be used by students at both RHS and Halls High School. This is a great opportunity to help prepare our students for jobs in the workforce.

The 1st Annual FFA Trivia Night was a great success! Thank you to everyone that came out to support the teams and RHS FFA. Congratulations to the RPS Teacher team on taking home the win. Coaches came in second and DECA placed third.
RHS FFA is hosting Trivia Night tonight! Doors open at 5:30 Trivia begins at 6:15. $5/ticket. There will be items to win. We hope to see you there!

Don’t forget, Ripley High School will host a FAFSA Frenzy event tonight from 3:30-6:00. Parents of seniors that have not completed the FAFSA are strongly encouraged to come. Staff will be on hand to assist you in completing the FAFSA for your student. Make sure to bring your 2017 income tax information with you.
The Lauderdale County Exchange Club held it's bi-monthly meeting Jan. 17 at the Carl Perkins Center. RHS Students, Jamari and Cara were named Students of the Month. Jamari plans to play basketball in college and eventually become an athletic trainer. Cara plans to attend Jackson State to play softball and eventually become a sports medicine physician assistant.
5th grade through High School math teachers collaborate on vertical alignment of standards. Learning everyone's part in the big picture is critical for student progress.
