Each year, colleagues and peers at each school select a school-level candidate to be recognized and honored as Teacher of the Year. These educators are recognized for their positive impacts on student learning, as well as their leadership in the school and community. From these honorees, three district-level candidates are selected to represent Lauderdale County as they advance toward regional, grand division, and state-level recognition. We are excited to share that the following teachers have been selected as Lauderdale County's 2024 District Teachers of the Year.
Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 4: Lesley Olds, Ripley Primary School
Grade 5 through Grade 8: Charity Weller, Halls Junior High School
Grade 9 through Grade 12: Kelly Noel, Halls High School
