Ms. Cynthia Bryant has been selected as the Director of Literacy and Instructional Interventions for Lauderdale County Schools. Ms. Bryant has served our school district for the last 8 years as both a teacher (2013-2014) and Curriculum Coordinator (2014 - 2021). Currently, she serves as the Curriculum and Testing Coordinator at Halls Elementary School, where she supports teachers and students from PK - 6th Grades. Prior to coming to Lauderdale County Schools, Ms. Bryant served as an Elementary Education Teacher for 11 years in the states of West Virginia, North Carolina, Kentucky, Texas, and Tennessee. During her career she has successfully taught a variety of standards in the areas of Math, ELA, Science and Social Studies. As a teacher, she was on various leadership teams and also lead professional development sessions for teachers at the schools where she served.
Ms. Bryant has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from Marshall University and a Master’s of Education in Instructional Leadership from Union University. She is passionate about literacy and helping teachers grow and develop in their knowledge of the most current teaching strategies. Ms. Bryant is a lifelong learner and is always looking for ways to increase her professional knowledge in her service to children.
