Michael and Angel Ferguson are 1995 and 2000 graduates of Ripley High School. Michael has earned his bachelor’s degree from Bethel University and master’s degree from Concordia University. He is currently pursuing his master’s degree in speech pathology. Angel has earned degrees from Dyersburg State Community College, Union University, and Concordia University. Angel received her teaching license from University of Tennessee - Martin.
Michael is a speech interventionist for Haywood County Schools. His favorite part of his career is seeing students’ faces when they accomplish their goals. Angel is a Special Education teacher at Haywood High School. She most enjoys molding young people into the future.

National Assistant Principal Week
Reminder: RMS Cheer Tryouts are Wednesday, April 5th, from 3:15-6:15 (or until your child has finished their tryout) in the RMS Gym.
HES and RPS Pre-K students and teachers participated in the Carl Perkins Center’s kickoff parade for Child Abuse Prevention Month. The theme was “There is no place like a safe home”. RHS JROTC led the parade while Pre-K students marched in the parade and adorned rubies and crowns to celebrate the 41st anniversary of the Carl Perkins Center. Parents and families joined the celebration for a huge turnout and great success. LCS would like to thank all staff, volunteers, parents, and community members for helping us place the best interest of children at the center of all we do.

7th grade students who completed the Q3 “Classic” reading challenge were rewarded today. They had classic ice cream floats and played classic field games including the egg toss and egg in a spoon relay race.
Class of 2027 students and parents participated in a high school registration meeting last night at RMS. Catherine Thomas, RHS counselor & Austin Kissell, College & Career Readiness Coordinator presented information to the students to get them ready for registration.
Due to the forecast of dangerous weather during our afternoon bus commute tomorrow, we are providing you with advanced notice that schools in Lauderdale County will dismiss at 1:30pm on Friday, March 31, 2023.

Mario Fulton II graduated from Ripley High School in 2004. He has earned his associate, bachelor’s, and master’s degrees in social work from University of Tennessee - Martin and Walden University.
Mario is a school social worker, published author, and entrepreneur. He serves as the Chief Executive Officer for ThinkRich Clothing and Stairway 2 Success, Incorporated. Mario’s favorite part of his career is impacting the lives of students and advocating for mental health services.

Our #LauderdaleProud feature is Holly Crook!
Holly Crook graduated from Halls High School in 2009. She graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a Bachelor's degree in Aviation Administration and Business. In January 2015, she completed flight training at ATP Flight School in Smyrna, TN.
Holly is an airline pilot for Federal Express (FedEx). Holly enjoys doing what she loves for a living. With each flight being a little different, there’s never a dull moment. She enjoys the views from above when flying to new places, over the oceans and mountains, and witnessing amazing sunrises and sunsets.

Spring Formal FAQ
The RMS Student Council had a blast at convention this year. A special thank you to Mr. James Barbee and the RHS SCA for taking us under your wing and showing us the ropes! Thank you to everyone who took care of us this weekend and drove us back and forth.
A big congratulations to our very own, Mrs. Cindy Anderson, for being awarded TASC’s Administrator of the Year!
4-H Day! Students completed the Bug on the Run 4-H activity. They worked in small groups to build a habitat for their endangered species, which kept trying to get away!
Lego Day in STEM! STEM students used instruction manuals to build their models. Some of the Tigers designed and built their own creations including buildings and vehicles.
In the next few days, coaches will be handing out proofs for the spring sports pictures to their teams. The last day to turn in orders will be Wednesday, April 5, 2023. Orders should be turned in to homeroom teachers.
