Our next #LauderdaleProud feature is Elizabeth Buffaloe Eskridge!
Elizabeth Eskridge graduated from Halls High School in 2002. She continued her education at the Tennessee Technology Center - Ripley where she earned her Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) credentials.
After a decade of working as an internal medicine and pediatric nurse, Elizabeth transitioned into entrepreneurship by opening The Sandbar & Honeyhole Co., a local tanning salon and gift shop. When asked about her favorite part of her career, Elizabeth said:
“Owning and operating a spray tanning business is just pure fun! There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing the astonished face of someone I’ve spray tanned for the first time. I love making women and men feel better about themselves. It’s a very rewarding feeling.”

Our next #LauderdaleProud feature is Jasmine Dowell!
Jasmine Dowell graduated from Ripley High School in 2011. She continued her education at the University of Tennessee at Martin, where she earned her bachelor’s degree. She is currently pursuing her Master of Education degree at Union University.
Jasmine is currently a 7th Grade ELA Teacher at Jackson Career and Technology (JCT) Middle School in Jackson, Tennessee. Her favorite part of her career is connecting with students and watching them achieve academically. Jasmine has previously served the Lauderdale County community as an Early Childhood Coordinator for Save The Children and the Brownsville/Haywood County community as the Director of the 1 Safe Place family justice center.

Navigate Reconnect is hiring a full-time Reconnect Navigator to serve Shelby, Lauderdale, Tipton, Haywood Counties. This position is a hybrid remote work-from-home position that will also have in-person office hours in Haywood, Tipton, and Lauderdale Counties. The Reconnect Navigator will be provided a laptop and cell phone for professional use, but the Navigator must work in a physical location in their assigned service area where internet and 4G service is accessible.

Our next #LauderdaleProud feature is Kirsten Solomon!
Kirsten Solomon is a 2016 graduate of Halls High School. She has earned degrees from Dyersburg State Community College and the University of Tennessee at Martin.
Kirsten currently works as a physical therapy technician and pool coordinator for LIFT Therapy in Jackson. When asked about her favorite part of her career, she enjoys supporting pool operations so that guests can safely swim and ensuring that the pool meets state compliance expectations. She also enjoys working with patients as well as gaining experience in the physical therapy field before enrolling in PT school in the future.
Kirsten is another reason we are #LauderdaleProud!

James Latham is a 2011 graduate of Ripley High School. He continued his education at Drive Train’s professional trucking program and earned his Commercial Driver License (CDL).
For the past nine years, James has worked as a truck driver. When asked about his favorite part of his career, he said that he enjoys playing a part in getting products delivered to the hands of the people who need them.
James is another reason we are #LauderdaleProud!
