
On Saturday, December 7 some of the Softball players and Miss Ripley helped Junior Auxiliary with the 3rd Annual JA Dolly and Me Tea.




On Wednesday Transition School to Work Program took Mrs. Angel Ferguson’s class to Buff City Soap and learned to make bath bombs and soap.

Students in the TCAT Manufacturing Technology Course took a field trip to Rough Country Manufacturing to learn about what all takes place there as well as career opportunities.


RHS Students toured Toyota Bodine Industry and Jackson State Community College last Friday. This was a fantastic opportunity for students to learn about post-secondary options.




Students enrolled in Geometry with Ms Echols and Coach Myers will take their EOC Part 1 and Part 2 Monday, December 9 and part 3 Tuesday, December 10.
These tests will begin at approximately 8:10 am. It is extremely important that your student arrive to school on time, well rested, and prepared for their exam.
The EOC exam is 25% of the students final average. Once the test begins no student will be able to checkout while taking their test. It is very important that your student not miss any part of this test.

Congratulations to this week’s ROAR winners: AmaJay, Chad, Colby, and Hailey. These student were caught exhibiting ROAR behavior and their names were drawn for prizes.

The RHS JROTC, Band, SCA, FFA, and Football team all participated in the Ripley Christmas Parade last night. We are proud of their representation of Ripley High School!


Due to the failure of a water line and the flooding of Ripley Middle School, there will be no school for students at Ripley Middle School on Friday, December 6, 2019. All other schools are in session and on regular schedule. All faculty and staff will report as usual.

Beginning tomorrow - Tuesday , Dec. 2 - students enrolled in English 2 with Mrs. McGovern and Mr Meyer will take their state End of Course Exams. This is a state test the is 25% of their final grade. Please ensure that your student arrives to school on time, gets plenty of rest, and is prepared for their test. Once the test begins no student will be able to checkout while taking their test. It is important that your student does not miss any part of this test.

Congratulations to these RHS students! They passed their Industry Level OSHA 10 Safety Certification and are now certified Safety experts!

FAFSA Night is December 3rd at UTM-Ripley Center from 3:00-6:00 p.m. If you have not completed the FAFSA you need to make plans to be there! There will be people there to help you. Please bring your parents tax information in order to complete the FAFSA. Parents are welcome to attend. Food will be provided.

Seventy students in the Class of 2020 raised their score at least by 2 points. This shows the determination of these students to be TN Promise, Hope Scholarship, and college eligible.

Overall, the Class of 2020 raised their ACT score 0.9, and we are so very proud of them!!!! They worked hard and many are planning on taking the December ACT to improve their score even more. #roadtocollege #tigernation

RHS announced at the SR meeting today the final results of the ACT Senior Retake. 69 students improved by 1 point. 44 improved by at least 2 points. 16 students met their personal projection. 23 students are Hope Scholarship Ready and 7 met ACT Benchmarks.
