
Lauderdale AWARE hosted their biannual Culture and Compassion Retreat this weekend at Lakeshore Camp in Eva, TN. Students from both Ripley and Halls discussed how to overcome prejudice, stereotypes, discrimination, and negative labels through showing compassion, vulnerability, and establishing genuine relationships. Lauderdale County students described the experience as transformational and healing.


Congratulations to the Lady Tiger volleyball team. They beat Bolton yesterday and improved their district record to 6-2. Volleyball team plays Covington tonight at home at 5:30. The student section theme is Hawaiian.

The annual RHS Homecoming Powderpuff games were held last night at Tiny Knee stadium and were as exciting and action packed as ever. Congrats to the Seniors for their 44-18 win in the championship game. #tigernation

Ms Crook's class participated in a QR code scavenger hunt for Intro to Business class’ career exploration week!


In celebration of Constitution Day, Coach Doles’ students created many projects to learn about the importance of our Constitution.


Fundraiser items will be delivered today. Please make arrangements to pick them up after 3:05 today and deliver to those that purchased from your student.

Student teams created lower leg prosthetic protypes using various ordinary material. Each team then demonstrated the use of their design while giving insight on the materials they chose to use to create stability, functionality, and durability.


As a culminating activity in a unit on the skeletal and muscular systems students were to create a model of muscle/bone movement. Students were to create 3 joints (gliding,ball and socket, hinge etc )placed correctly on the doll and with one pull of a string the appropriate movement would result. (Abductio,adduction,flexion extension etc)


Psychology class had special speaker Cheree Stout today who taught them some sign language and discussed deaf culture for their chapter on sensation and perception.
