TECTA is offering - Orientation class scheduled for the summer. One week long June 10 Monday – June 14 Friday 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (1 hour lunch break)
at DSCC. Students completing the course will receive the full 30 hour course in one week. Course completion makes you eligible for financial aid for an Early Childhood degree at DSCC.

May 9, 2019 Ripley High School will hold Senior Honors Night at 6:30 p.m. in the Little Theater. Eligible students have received invitations and we are very excited to honor their accomplishments.

Thursday May 9th Maggie Moo’s ice cream truck is returning to RHS! They will be here 9-12 and we will announce when each group of students may go. Be sure to bring your $5.

Senior Honors Night will be held Thursday May 9, 2019 at 6:30 pm in the cafeteria. Students will have received an invitation.

Algebra 1 students will take their Common Assessment today during their class period. Please help us minimize interruptions to the testing room by coordinating any necessary check out to between class periods.

Ripley High School is extremely proud of Jermaine and Jamari. These two young men have signed to attend and play at Columbia State in Columbia Tennessee. We wish them well and know they will make us proud.


Mr. Harmon and Mr. Simpson took a group of student to The Dixon Gallery and Gardens in Memphis. This was a great opportunity for students to see different pieces of art.


The RHS Concert Band held its Spring Concert on Monday, April 29th which featured an original composition, “Chorale and Chaccone,” by student Hayden Elrafei. Elrafei is a student in the Music Theory class and enjoys exploring what he can redefine in this study of theory and composition. He plans to continue composition for the remainder of his high school career, and plans on majoring in Music Theory in college.


Senior, E. Carney, did a wonderful job conducting one of the songs at the band concert. He was the field commander during marching season and plans on majoring in instrumental and vocal education. We can't wait to see the amazing things he will do with his future career.


The RHS band had their final concert for the school year last night. They sounded amazing!!


Students from Halls Middle/High and Ripley Middle/High participated in Lakeshore Culture & Compassion Retreat through Lauderdale AWARE. The retreat allowed students to break down barriers through a variety of activities in order to be more culturally aware.


If your senior has not ordered their cap and gown they must be ordered this week in order for them to guarantee arrival by graduation.

Students running for Student Council Officer positions delivered speeches to their peers over the intercom today.


Mrs. Sanders’ Spanish 2 students worked to translate their course schedule from English to Spanish.

Congratulations to RHS Student Jonathon on being awarded 1st place in The Congressional Art Contest. This is a contest between all of the counties within the 8th district with a first place winner for each county and each award presented by the congressman David Kustoff.
