As we wrap up what has been our most challenging semester yet, we are thankful for our school community. Our faculty, staff, and students have gone above and beyond to make learning possible. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from the RMS Admin team (and Santa Doug)!

RMS would like to congratulate our 2020-2021 Employees of the Year! Congrats to Mrs. Tracy Halliburton, Staff Member of the Year, and Mrs. Karie Arthur, Teacher of the Year. RMS appreciates your dedication to the staff, students, and community.

RMS 8th grade teacher Doug Billings has worked as a professional Santa for 2 years. He has attended Santa School in Midland, Michigan and traveled overseas to Denmark for the World Santa Claus Congress. Today, Santa Doug shared the spirit of Christmas with RPS students virtually. What a great day for these students! Check out Santa Doug's visit: https://youtu.be/_JVZAoKDkEk

School pictures are next week! Tuesday, December 15, will be for odd day students and RMS faculty/staff. Wednesday, December 16, will be for even day students and remote students. Remote students may take their photos when they arrive for Chromebook device return. Students may be out of dress, but must still adhere to all length and fit dress code expectations.

On December 8, the Lauderdale County Board of Education discussed the school operating calendar and voted to keep the staggered, odd/even schedule through the month of January. The school board will weigh the decision again in mid-January to determine when schools should return to normal operating schedules with all in-person students present.
